Usually tarot cards have their multiple unique face cards which are laid out in a spread pattern in order to perform a reading. With this deck one is unable to do that. All that is possible is a random card draw after a vertical shuffle. There's no way of hiding what the card is by holding the deck with pictures face down in horizontal fan fashion. The titled textual crystal information would be visible then facing upward. This deck is possibly good for an emotion check for the day by shuffling vertically and picking one card that way as a pulse check. These crystal cards have a photo of the individual crystal on one side. There's an explanation of the crystal's significance on the other side. Tarot cards usually have each card interpretation found in the accompanying box insert listing all of the cards in it and their meaning. The box insert for this deck offers some generic tips about deck usage in general. Not altogether helpful at all. Very disappointed since I prefer layout reading using multiple cards from any given deck that I choose to use. The cards are laid face down in the layout prior to doing a reading. Can't recommend purchase. Best that I can say about this deck is that the info on the cards per crystal is informative. Pictures are good.
