The Jordan represents the barrier God is calling you to cross over. It represents the transition between where you are now, and where He wants you to be. This description may be from another edition of this product.
So good, I had to buy a new highlighter pen! Deals with the principles of crossing the Jordan and entering the promised land. My wife and I love this book. We are not pastors, and are only reading it in terms of crossing over in our own life. The principles are equally applicable. If you are serious about letting God transform your life from slavery to freedom, and are prepared to walk the hard road, then this book was written to guide and encourage. If you are comfortable in Egypt, you may not get much out of it. Paul Scanlon has a direct style. And the book is filled with wisdom that has clearly been earned in the furnace of his life.
A Must-Have Book For Pastors Leading Change In Their Churches
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 15 years ago
It seems that there are tons of books available for church planters... but not so many for pastors who are leading existing churches in significant change. I love this book (have read both the first edition and second edition) and recommend it for pastors & leaders. Having been to Paul Scanlon's church in Bradford, England, I was able to experience first-hand the "new breed" church he is leading. My church is 37 years old and is in the process of "crossing over." Paul shares his experiences in "crossing over" and many valuable lessons learned. Get this book & read it!
EXCELLENT read for a church or pastor in transition

A fellow pastor gave me a copy of this book and I devoured it in 3 days. I was so impacted by it, I ordered a copy for my leaders and those who are willing to CROSS OVER to the place of God's destiny. This is a must read!
