Crazy for Lovin' You

Terrill's been away for a long time. When her father was killed in a horrible accident, Terrill's mother, completely devastated, remarried quickly. Her stepfather adored her mother and encouraged her frailty, always stepping between her and Terrill to " shelter" her. Not understanding how her mother could put the memory of her father away so quickly, Terrill fled as soon as she could. Now she's been summoned home. Her mother is dying and wants her there. In her absence, her stepfather has taken over her father's place in the town and runs his logging business as if it is his own, not left to Terrill and her mother. When Terrill's father is suddenly killed in an accident, her world falls apart. Her mother is helpless with grief. When a new romance beckons, she accepts, unable to face her grief alone. Terrill's stepfather totally usurps her father's place, even taking over the logging business left to Terrill and her mother as his own. He keeps Terrill away from her mother, claiming to "protect" her from any distress. Terrill is sent away to school, further widening the gulf. Gradually she builds a new life, only to be called home out of the blue one day because her mother is dying. Her stepfather is unbearable and he is even more unwelcoming to Terrill than before she left. He has become "The Man" in town and struts about while denying her her legacy. As her mother grows weaker, Terrill forges an unlikely relationship with the town "Bad Boy" and discovers he is not at all what he seems. As her mother's death nears ugly secrets begin to stir and Terrill's very life could be in danger. This is a very gripping book that keeps you always on the edge of your seat enough twists and turns you'll have to hang on tight. The story roars into the town like a freight train, exposing the secrets of all. Will Terrill's life and love survive it? This book is an amazing ride! One of my favorites!

I've read all 3 of Lisa's books and they are keepers. While hunting more of her books, I was told that she is also Dana Warren Smith who wrote the Silhouette Special Edition #563 HIGH STAKES. Does anyone know this for a fact?? I did read HIGH STAKES and that is also a keeper.

I agree totally with the other reviewer. My only complaint about Lisa G. Brown is that I can't find more of her books. When I read "Billy Bob Walker Got Married", I thought that it was one of the best romances I had ever read (and I read a LOT of them). Then I read "Crazy For Lovin' You". The characters are so honest and real, and the descriptions so powerful that I was totally engrossed in this book. The plot -- and the relationship -- developed so gradually and naturally that it was completely believable. And the scenes of the two of them in the truck are so sweet and touching and sexy, well, it's clear that Lisa G. Brown is a very gifted writer. Please, please, PLEASE, Ms. Brown, write more!

Lisa G. Brown is, I believe, the best romance writer I have read. This is one talented lady, and where is she?? I'm dying to read more of her work, but can't seem to find anything. I've read the three that have been published, and will keep them forever. Can't recommend Ms. Brown highly enough.
