A great basketball book.

I read Crashing the Boards by Hank Herman. It was about a team that was broken up because their starters and coach moved. Before they told the team they were leaving, they had a grudge match. The Bulls played the Slashers and the Bulls won. The main characters are Dave, Brian, Will, and Derek, the Bulls players, and the Slashers players, Otto, Spider, and Matt. Nate is also a main character. He is a high school player who becomes the Bulls coach. When the Bulls broke up, Will, Brian, and Dave tried out for the Slashers. Only Will made the Slashers team. Will said OK, I'll be on the team but he still didn't like the Slashers. Will played against the Hornets on the Slashers. Dave was in the stands and made a comment that distracted Spider. If Dave hadn't made the comment, the Slashers would have won the game. Dave and Brian were shooting hoops at Jefferson Park. They went to Bowman's Candy Shop for a soda. Mr. Bowman, the owner of the store, asked them to make try-outs for a new Branford Bulls. He said I bet the league will let you back in. Nate, Mr. Bowman's 16 year old son, said he would hold try-outs and coach the new Branford Bulls. Dave and Brian got to try-outs and millions of people were there. Nate came with Will's brother Jim and organized everybody. At try-outs, Nate created the new Branford Bulls. They were Derek, Chunky, Mark, Brian, and Dave. Nate talked to the league owners. They let the Bulls back in. At the first game, the Bulls did not look too good. Mark kept making wild shots. At half time, the Bulls were losing to the Hornets 20 to 26. See what happens at half time. I recommend this book to people who like basketball and to people who like exciting books.
