Little Roy lives on a ranch. He can rope like a cowboy, and round up strays like a cowboy. But will he ever learn to "ride" a two-wheeler that is? This is a funny and very easy-to-read "yarn" for any young reader who dreams of the Wild West.
LOVED by GIRLS and BOYS! Super cute, well-written, FUN book!

Not many books move me to write, but we and our 4.5 yr. old daughter SO enjoyed COWBOY ROY, that I just had to do so. Our family purchased this book at the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo. In the process of learning to ride a 2-wheeler without training wheels, Roy (who lives on a ranch with his sister, Meg) saves his sister's beloved doll (Dolly) from the kidnapping grip of other neighbor boys (of a similar age). Our daughter liked BOTH Roy and Meg, and could empathize with common childhood themes expressed in the book: learning to ride a bike, other children not playing nicely, wanting to be able to do what children of a similar age can do, sibling loyalty and love, and the value of persistence (and real need) in learning a new skill. Cute, cute, CUTE book!

We loved this book! Both my husband and I read this to our 5 yr. old son. We laughed out loud at the author's light hearted approach on learning to ride a two-wheel bike without training wheels! A first time on reading a story by this team of authors. I will seek other books by them in the future. My son loved everthing about this peticular book.
