It was definitely magic....

"Could it be Magic" gives us Jacqueline "Jake" McKenna, an outrageously sexy and independent, talented graphic designer who has never held a real job - that is until she gained custody of her precocious six-year-old niece Dani. Now, knowing that it's not just about her anymore, Jake needs to find a job and fast. Eamon Fitzgerald is a Boston lawyer who left his practice to take control and run the family-owned magazine, along with his carefree brother, Jim. For the past five years, Eamon, the stern and serious older brother, has led a life of relative insignificance - until he hires Jake as the magazine's new graphic designer. All of a sudden, his life is turned upside down (and for the better)! From day one, Jake and Eamon fight the attraction for one another, because of past disappointments and terrible losses suffered by both. However, their resistance is put to the test because of Eamon's growing fondness for Jake and Dani, and Jake's acceptance of his sincerity and kindness. When these two finally discover their fight is futile, that's when the loving begins! And trust me, it steams up! Once again, Ms. Savoy gives me the kind of romance I love, filled with passion, intense love scenes and heart wrenching moments. I also enjoyed meeting Liza, Jake's best friend and Jim. There's something in the air between these two, so look out! Great book!

Beautiful

This was a good book. The story revovles around a free sprited young lady, Jake McKenna. After the loss of her brother Jake is forced to put her free sprited ways away and face the resposibilty of raising her brothers six year old daughter. In accepting the responsibilty she is forced to get a real job, that's when trouble comes, in the form of the handsome, Eamon Fitzgerald. Will Jake be able to handle her responsibilities, and put away her fears to form the family she's always wanted. A really beautiful tale.

5 Stars! The DLNA

Words can not express how delighted I was to finally get my personal copy of Could It Be Magic. There's just something about Deirdre's writing style that I really enjoy. Deirdre Savoy is not only a high quality writer, but most looked up to by writers around the world. I look forward to Mrs. Savoy's ASAP Tour, and tips on creating a winning novel. Holding Out For A Hero was just as fun to read. I highly prefer to read Mrs. Savoy's books. They are warm, inspirational and well written. She's done it again with Could It Be Magic, and I look forward to her next project. I wonder what James Lisbon from AMAG will think when I send him a personal copy.

Very good

I have to agree with the other review, that the chemistry was a bit tame or conservative, but I think it picked up as the story continued. This book is not my favorite of Ms. Savoy's but still very good and better than most other books I have read. I would recommend this book, and highly recommend all of Deirdre Savoy's other books, she is a great writer.

Good book as espected from Ms. Savoy

Although I didn't think this book was as great a read and had as much romance as Always and Midnight Magic, the book is still a good read. The heroine Jake is strong, outgoing, and a real extrovert and raising her brother's child Dani (who is quite a character herself). The hero Eamon is the exact opposite of Jake. But of course you know what they say about opposites. The book is fast paced and definitely has a few twists and turns. However the romance and chemistry between the main characters was a bit conservative or maybe I was just expecting the chemistry of Mike and Jenny from the book Always. Anyway, the book is definitely worth buying as are all of Ms. Savoy's works.
