Cosmopolitan Girls

All girls need to get a copy of this book. I loved it! Cosmopolitan Girls is about the lives and friendship between two girls living and working in New York City. When they meet, each believe the other's life is better than her own but they each get a wake up call! This story is fast, fun and emotional. I wanted to kick the video director "Troy" where it hurts the most! He is such a jerk! He is the type of man every mother should warn her daughter about! I liked that Lindsay finally learned that "Women have the power to heal each other through friendship" This is a true statement. I only wish more young women would try to look for friendship in other women instead of being jealous or putting them down.

This book has gotten a lot of mixed reviews, but I REALLY enjoyed it. It is truly a story that is meant to uplift and remind us women that we are worth so much more than most of us give ourselves credit. "Cosmopolitan Girls", is pretty much the diaries of Lindsay and Charlie. Two small-town girls living successfully in the Big Apple. Lindsay is a Television Exec who has dreams of becoming a Producer. She is dating an accomplished video director who she thinks is "the one". Charlie on the other hand is living with her fiance and his two kids from a previous relationship. A broken heart and unfaithfulness brings these two women together one day at a club. Both of them think that the other one has it good, but they are so much more alike than they think. Together the two build an unyielding friendship and help each other out in ways that real friends should.I didn't expect to get all that I did out of "Cosmopolitan Girls". So many lessons can be learned. It is more than just a fiction novel. This is a book that will make you feel proud to be a woman.

I loved this book!! I finished it in only two days, it was amazing how two complete strangers became friends who supported each other through happy and sad.If you have been in a bad relationship this book will sing to you.

I purchased this book on Friday, March 19th and I forced myself to say awake so that I could finish it that night. These authors really described the characters and their situations in such a way that I became caught up in the story line. Burley and Leflore did an excellent job in writing this novel and I have recommended and passed this book to so many of my friends. So far this has been one of the best novels I've read this year.
