In this very readable little book, Ra Bonewitz describes a plausible theory behind popular New Age belief in the healing power of crystals, drawing a parallel between the order represented by the lattice-like structures of mineral crystals and the order represented by organic chemistry and which is considered by most of us to be a characteristic of consciousness in a rational person. He says that this order is one and the same in each such context, just expressed in different scales of complexity. The book is fun to read no matter what you believe.
