Corduroy

I don't think the review for the vendor should affect the review for the book. This is my favorite book from childhood and I can't wait to read it to my son. I still have my corduroy teddy bear that somebody made me. This book taught me care and compassion, to take care of the people you love, and to appreciate the little things like Corduroy Bears in our life that bring us so much joy and comfort. The little girl in this book cares so much for something that appears discarded by others. And in the end, he truly outshines them all. In the end I know this is what taught me as a child and an adult not to treat others poorly and to defend those who are treated poorly. We are all Corduroy the bear. It's an Ugly Duckling or Charlotte's Web style short story, with morals taught and not superficial tales of grandeur.

If you are looking for a sweet story that children will want to hear over and over again, grab this book! We love it at our house and constantly have to replace our copy as it wears out with all the grandchildren reading it again and again.

Love this book, unfortunately can't read it through due to missing pages!

The cover of the book is in good condition but all of the pages have mold/mildew on them. I will try to return. I will throw it away if unable to return it. It’s not suitable for my grandchildren.

I loved this book as a kid and I love reading it to my baby even more. It's such a cute story about a toy bear looking for a button to fix his overalls in the hopes a kid will take him home and love him. It's a very sweet story. I ordered a giant board book in very good condition and it the condition of the book was amazing!

I have ordered several books now. This is the second book that came without a book cover, since this is an older book, children need the cover to know what book it is when on the shelf. Had I of known, I wouldn’t of ordered this one.

The book is a classic, of course. Very nostalgic. But the copy I received was in way worse condition than advertised. Pages were ripped and taped back together, despite me paying for a very good quality copy… Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad to have it, but I wish there was more quality control.

My toddler loves this book, the pages are full of bright illustrations and the story is short enough to keep her attention while also deep enough to teach her tenderness towards her toys. We have such a precious time reading this book together.

I was so excited for a this book to come in but it was rated acceptable and wasn’t. Most pages have marker scribbles in huge circles all over it. I understand markings and scratches but it was way worse

The first books I ordered were in great shape for the price i paid. The 4 books i received today were very used and had price stickers on one for .99 cents... i paid 4.19. I might actually be done with this app.

The quality is amazing! I got an excellent book and it’s so cute to read to my 5 month old as she loves the colors! I was just under the impression I would also get the bear that came with the book when I ordered and I didn’t receive it. But other than that, it’s really nice!

Ordered the Spanish version so we could expand our Spanish bookshelf for our baby in our bilingual household and got the English version instead. Not what I ordered.

I love this book but unfortunately the version of the book I chose (Quality: good) came with a page cut out. I think that qualifies as “acceptable” but I don’t think it merits a bad review. Just thought I’d say the quality wasn’t what I expected; even for secondhand, a page cut out doesn’t seem “good” to me.

I remember reading this story as a child and my 3 year old daughter loves it.

I loved this teddy bear who longed for his home and his mother. I like this story of not only receiving but also giving love. Corduroy was lucky enough to find Lisa but not all teddy bears are that lucky... Corduroy is exactly the kind of teddy bear that I love. Other great books that I highly recommend are The Very Hungry Caterpillar board book and especially Why Some Cats are Rascals, Book 2.

The little bear named Corduroy may not be as beautiful and perfect as the doll sitting next to him on the toy shelf, but he is more loveable. Corduroy is learning some of the struggles in life, just as we do in our lives. He is desperately searching for his lost botton because he wants a little girl to buy him. But the only thing the girl is searching for is not on the outside, it is on the inside. She loves Corduroy for Corduroy. This teaches children an excellent lesson. Love people for their personality.
