Keep this with you-It has turned my life around

This book is my story. The chapters seem to come right out of my medical history. If you have ANY idea that you might have this disease, PLEASE get this book. Take it with you to the doctor. The chapters on health insurance and how to deal with doctors who are uninformed about Lymes are invaluable. It is written so anyone can understand it and the format is easy to use to find info fast.It has the best info of any book I have found and it is co-written by a Doctor which means your doctor will be more likely to accept the info in it. I have had Lymes for 14 years and the most help I have ever gotten has come from this book.

A must have!

A must have for those suffering from Lymes! Everything you need to know about the disease and it allowed me to understand the symptoms and how to deal with them. Easy to understand and very useful for family members to understand what us "lymies" are going through. I have read and referred to it several times for help to explain to others about the disease.

Coping with Lyme Disease (2nd edition)

I've had Lyme Disease for many years and only recently was diagnosed. This was like reading a biography. I find this book very helpful and refer to it often to be sure "I'm not crazy-it's just Lyme". I've had trouble finding information for the layperson that addressed my concerns and this is the best I've found so far. I recommend this to patients and caregivers. I even bought another copy for my doctor.

lyme disease in children

I never read this book. I rated this book 5 stars from what other reviewers said about it and that it gives me hope that something can be done! I have just recieved the positive result of my three year old daughter's westren blot test. Can anyone give me some good news. The dear tick that was borrowed under her skin was found 4 months ago. But her IGMs are high showing an acute attack now. The doctor thinks she must of been bitten more recent. I am definatly buying this book.

Coping with Lyme Disease is both realistic and informative

As an eleven year suffer of Chronic Lyme Disease I found Coping with Lyme Disease to be an accurate, reliable, informative source of both the Disease itself and the politics involved with Lyme Disease. It is a must read for any person who has been diagnosed with Lyme Disease or who suspects they have it and can't find a Doctor to treat it. I have bought many copies of this book and share it with both other Lyme victims and Physicians within my community that are not knowledgeable about this devistating illness and the politics that surround it. Denise Lang did a wonderful job in both editions of this book!
