The Best I Own

This cookbook is by far the best that I own. It's compact enough to carry around, yet it's packed so full of useful information. There's recipes for everything in there, including desserts and preserves. I flipped when I saw there was a jam/jelly section! Seems like this books is out of print, which is unfortunate (and also baffling). Buy a used copy today if you want to own the best yet most simple cookbook ever. It's got photos to accompany every single recipe, plus it's all "from scratch," so you'll feel like a pro while whipping up these wonders. 5 stars!!!

A in One - Little Wonder!

I used to think "WHY BUY?" when you can get most recipes ONLINE! Well, this book is an exceptional. You can't find (many) of the recipes in the book anywhere else. First I was attracted to photographs. (included on EVERY page!) Then once I started to read through, I realized how incredibly useful this book is. There are so many easy to follow recipes, covering from simple vegetable soup to oriental favorite like Thai's Tom Kha Kai (chicken/coconut soup). This little book not only teach you a commonsense and techniques, it also gives nice photo references (of ingredients). Recipes featured here cover popular dishes in all categories! (breakfast, soup, desserts - xmas sweets, veggies, meat, bread etc.) Did I mention...photographs in the book are so pretty? :)

Simple and good!

This cookbook is good for all beginners. The procedures are easily followed. And the recipes are from the Orient to the West. Besides, pretty pictures with elegant diningwares.

Excellent Cookbook

I own almost 500 cookbooks, and this book is by far my favorite. Usually, when I try cookbooks, where is always good, fair, and awful recipes, but not this book. Every recipe I tryed was either excellent or very good. I highly recommend this book. Also good for beginner cooks.
