This is a great book for anyone who likes to cook. It isn't like many cookbooks that I've encountered. The recipes span the range from simple to complex and there's something for everyone. I originally checked this out of the library and was so excited about it, I had to have a copy of my own. The directions are, for the most part, clear and easy to understand and you don't have to be a master chef create the dishes in the book. Many of the recipes, which were submitted by alumni from Penn State, have little bits of info that really help complete the dish such as suggestions for serving, what to look for when buying groceries, and even stories about the dishes themselves. I own more cookbooks than I could ever possibly use but this one definitely take a spot in the front of the line. I love mine and highly reccommend the book to anyone who loves to cook.
