Cookies

I gre up making cookies from recipes in this book. Like another reviewer, my book has long since lost it's binding but the recipes are still fresh. The crinkle top molasses cookie and the lemon bar recipes are unbeatable.

I bought this book at a school book fair when I was 7 years old. When I was little my mom and I used to make recipes from this book all the time. Now that my daughter is almost 7, we have started to bake together, using recipes from this book, as well. The binding fell apart many years ago, leavingme with a stack of papers, but the cookies are still amazing! The recipes are clear, simple and don't require exotic ingredients. There are recipes for every type of cookie imaginable and plenty of pictures. I highly, highly recommend this book!

I am an avid cookie baker, and this is my favorite cookie book. I recommend this book over many of the more expensive cookie books out there. I'm buying another one to give to my daughter, as I can't bear to be parted with my copy. Try the recipe for crackle top molassas cookies!

I have been using this cookie book for the past 11 years and love every recipe in it. There are many ethnic cookie recipes that relatives have passed down and we either lost or couldn't get in touch with the person who made a certain type of cookie. I found all of them in this book including English Tea Cookies,Linzer Rounds,Danish Butter Cookies,Peanut-Butter and Chocolate Kisses,Vienna Squares,Bon Bons,Russian Tea Cakes, Hungarian Kifli,Pizzelles,Baklava,Lady Fingers, Lebkuchen and Pfeffernusse. I would recommend giving this book to anyone just starting out, a newlywed, a child going out on her own, or a good friend. I have never found any other books that contain so many good cookie recipes for every occasion. Buy, bake and enjoy.
