The recipes are wonderful. They have been passed on for years because they are superb and timeless. Most readers already will have at least one of them in their collection of favorites. They are ideal for bridge gatherings because of quick, uncomplicated preparation. The presentation of play of each of the bridge hands is superb. The mini-lessons following each hand are excellent. The book is presented in such a manner that one can pick it up and digest information even in a brief period of time. This book is not intended for the professional nor would it be useful for the beginner. It is valuable for everyone else. The book is an ideal "bread and butter" gift for a bridge host (or hostess). We originally received a copy as a gift. Since then (five years ago), we have given at least five copies to bridge playing friends.
