Contaminant Hydrogeology

Needed this book for my course, it was a million times cheaper than renting from Chegg or amazon even after I paid for 2 day shipping. DEFINATELY get 2 day shipping, about 10 bucks for coursebooks that you need, otherwise you'll be waiting forever!

Great condition. Small dent however, hardly noticeable. Other than that is like new.

good reference book. covers the basics of contaminants. has a great section on industrial uses of large amount of contaminants. useful if you have an odd contaminant and may not know what industrial use it originated from. Also details a variety of drilling methods and possible applications. Not a book you read over the weekend to relax..

The author does a good job of presenting the basic hydrogeologic principles (i.e., darcy's law, scalar, vector and tensor properties of hydraulic head and conductivity) needed to understand the subject matter without unneccessary overlap from his previous work Applied Hydrogeology. The book covers mass transport in saturated media, transformation and attenuation of solutes, vadose zone, multiphase flow, inorganic and organic chemcials in groundwater, monitoring and remediation. this is a well written text presenting the fundamentals but is not an exhaustive summary. I would definitely recommend this text.

Excellent book for introduction into contaminant hydrogeology; however, not very detailed on groundwater modeling and remediation. The section on Mass Transport is very easy to understand and well layed out. Would like to have seen more examples.
