Confrontation

The final act of the novel trilogy. Everything comes into place as the Federation advances towards the Zeon space fortress A Baoa Qu, and the final battle between the Gundam pilot, Amuro Ray and the Red Comet. Pretty much everything plays out like the end tv series in this volume, but with many twists and a shocking ending! Gihren Zabi is fleshed out in this volume as we get insight into his private life and his goals after the war; unlike the TV series were Gihren is an analog of Hitler, he comes off as a Stalin-like: he kills any traitor on the spot, womanizes, and holds parties at his mansion. Another character difference is Ramba Ral, whose role is altered to a minor as a spy. So overall, this is a great conclusion to the novel trilogy and very sad.Escalation (Gundam Mobile Suit #2)

A fitting conclusion to an amazing series, even if it does deviate significantly from the Gundam canon.

You see, most people read a book and try to find some deep meaning to it. This is one book that you can't do that! I have read this book and yes, there are flaws, but hey, it happens. This book is entertaining and has exciting parts to it. It will take awhile to get into it, but once you start, man, you can't put it down.
