After her ex-boyfriend starts another life in L.A., her hairdresser discovers God, and she gets dragged into the planning of her mother's upcoming wedding, Ellen Carter must reluctantly face singlehood in New York City.
I really enjoyed this book. I think it's a great story for all the single women out there who just want to relate to other single women. It was easy to get through in a couple of days & it kept my interest to the point that I would actually enjoy reading it again sometime. I would recommend it to anyone out there who just wants to curl up at home with a fun easy read!
Confession: Curnyn's Writing Style is Addictive!

This book was a fantastic read! Not only was I sincerely interested in seeing Emma get over her stagnant relationship with Derrick, the beau who ditched his cozy life with her so nonchalantly, but I was in stitches from her wit and charm. Lynda Curnyn did a fabulous job taking us through Emma's journey-one to which many of us can relate-of a sassy & single woman who's just floating through life with a job (and lifestyle?) that is only half of what it could be to a life that has so much more promise. The modern day heroine, Emma, is so easy to love and it's impossible NOT to route for her. I found myself cheering out-loud for her during her moments of clarity and gusto. You will WANT to see her get out of her funk and take those scary and daring steps towards the life she really wants to live! I emphatically recommend this book! This might be my favorite RED DRESS INK publishing yet!

I really enjoyed "Confessions of an Ex-Girlfriend." A friend suggested I read it -- I was going thru a recent breakup of my own -- and the book truly captures the ups and downs of getting over someone and getting on with life. I thought it was extremely well-written, insightful, smart, funny and inspiring. The writer creates well-rounded, fully developed characters who you truly feel for. I liked how she held nothing back, romantic foibles and all. Truly enjoyable and inspiring!!!! Five stars!
So fun be sure you have enough time to read in one sitting!

This book is fun for single girls and married ones alike! Emma Carter is a real person with real concerns and we get to watch her develop herself from a woman with insecurities about herself, her career and her relationship with men, into a woman who goes after the career and man she wants. Ultimately, this means that Emma has to first find out who she is before she can figure out what she wants. You'll find some of yourself in her. But you'll also find she inspires you to find out who YOU really want to be. Have fun with this one!
