To correct the review written by "goose," the point of this book is not to give you tips on being a better speaker. If that's what you're looking for, then you should look for books that deal with speaking (and there ARE in fact lots of books that can give you tips on how to be a better speaker). However, anyone who's ever thought about it for more than 3 seconds can tell you that communicating is about much more than giving speeches. This book is a clear, general introduction to basics of communicating interpersonally, in groups, and public settings.
