Come with Me

I just loved this story the characters were great, and the romance was explosive. When are we getting another title from J.S. Hawley? I need a fix...immediately! And what can be said about Majestic Cloud Walker...fine, fine, fine, he is the ideal man. I liked Jesse Ruth as well, I saw myself in her. I just can't express how much I loved this book. I find myself constantly rereading the book. Not to mention the cover picture is nice to look at! Who was the cover model? Wow! Okay, back to the book...It is an excellent book, and I highly recommend it!

First of all, Hawley is seriously talented. I haven't read a romance that moved me like this in a really long time, in any genre (and I'm a pretty broad reader- from Linda Howard to Leslie Esdaille Banks.) I was attracted to the cover, title, and the fact that L.A. Banks endorsed it. You can't beat trying out someone new at only 6.99. After I read it, I would've paid 20 bucks if I had to. Hawley created one of the most intense, sexy and hilarious heroes in Micheal Walker. I'm totally in love! He just leaped off the page (I know that's corny, but I'll be damned if I didn't wish this guy was real. I'd try to find him and drag him with me if I had to.) I didn't really love the heroine (but maybe I'm just jealous.) This is a 'romance' novel in the truest sense. Hawley touches on socio-political issues, but she doesn't hit the reader over the head with them. If I wanted to read about how hard it is to be a woman of color, I wouldn't be picking up a romance novel. Hawley delivered. I'm a fan. Hope this Author stays around and keeps bringing the heat. Jessica has it all as a city girl with a thriving business but she gets burnt out - a long stay in the mountains of North Carolina brings her to Michael Majestic Cloud Walker - a Native American! The chemistry is hot and very erotic between these two. Ms. Hawley does an excellent job of writing about Mike's heritage. Jessica is willing to give up her city life and finds the country life appealing. Readers will love this story for the blend of so many characters and issues - all making this first book a segway to a sequel! Makes me want to move to the mountains of North Carolina!
