This book tells of the progress the Catholic Church in England is currently enjoying-probably the the highest since the reformation. A brilliant discussion and first person account by 8 former Anglican converts to Catholicism, reviewing what they found in the Catholic Church upon their arrival and what brought them there. It tells of the suppression of the Catholic Church in England since the reformation and how it unfolded, and consequently the significant number of conversions of many Anglicans to Catholicism since the November 1992 decision to ordain women to the Priesthood, who now seek a home for themselves in the Roman Catholic Church. There is an excellent chapter on John Henry Newman, his contemporaries and the questions they wrestled with, which are alive today...I sincerely recommend this book...it is delightful, uplifting, and refreshing.It deserves more than 5 stars!...
