Zack is on the go in this adorable book that celebrates the many ways in which young children get from one place to the next. As he grows from six months to six years old, we see Zack crawl, cruise,... This description may be from another edition of this product.
While searching for a book to entertain my 14-month-old granddaughter, I happened upon this delightful book about Zack and his escapades of growing up into an independent boy. With each adventure, he becomes more skilled in becoming self confident, but he always comes back to the fold. Our granddaughter is just beginning to walk, after scooting, and crawling, and now walking. With each step she takes, she is stretching her world, which is what she is supposed to do. We must give our babies 'wings' so that they can always come back home. This delightful rhyming Golden Book served as a great metaphor for me, also. My oldest grandson has gone out of state for his first year in college. I've watched him scoot on his tummy, zoom on his tricycle, speed on his bike, wobble on his skateboard, and drive his first car. With his 'wings' he will come home again, as Zack does in this wonderful book, written by Ms. Trish Holland. What a good lesson for us all--We learn to let our children go but we make sure they know TO ALWAYS COME BACK. I loved the book and so does my granddaughter. Diane Roberts

My granddaughter loves this book! She is 18 months old, and a good age to follow Zack as he crawls away, walks away, and pedals his bike away, only to be called safely back by a family member each time, even his Grandma calls to him--Come Back, Zack! Both the rhyme and art are appealing. Thank goodness because I've read this favorite again and again! I highly recommend it!
