This episide of The Trailsman is set south of the Mexican border and in Texas in 1858. Our hero is out doing some scouting and unexpectantly meets up with some interesting circumstances and characters. It is a great Old West Western in all respects. One is never in doubt of the challenges facing Slye Fargo and who in preventing him from completing his mission. It is a well thought out and written saga, filled with lots of struggles and fast-action. In this story, we get well acquainted with Comanche and Apache tribes.Skye, his companion, a black beaver trapper Josh and a Spanish missionary,Father Olivares get caught up in a Smallpox epidemic as well as hostile, fight to the finish,Indian War; that keeps the reader glued to the story from beginning to end. We are reminded once again, that with someone like The Trailsman--- "A man's reputation rides a faster horse than he does."
