Wonderfully Relaxing

I saw examples of mandalas on a writing website and the website owner recommended I give it a try. I have spent many relaxing hours working with the mandalas in this book. Exploring with color, focusing on an activity that takes me away from noise of the world and into my own thoughts, feeling "artsy" - what a great experience. It's like adult summer camp! Fun!

Learning to lose yourself in Mandalas

I started with book No. 3. It doesn't matter which book you begin with. Just begin your discovery. What a special tool for self-discovery. HAVE FUN!

remarkable

I recently switched to coloring in this book, Coloring Mandalas by Susanne Fincher and I cannot rave about it enough. Though only about 20 pages long, it contains a amazing amount of information regarding not only mandalas but also the inner workings of the psyche. Some of the things she said regarding the constant interplay between the ego and Self (in the Jungian sense) and the cyclical times wherein the Self pushes for change and the ego might feel deflated at such times hit the nail right on the head in regards to my own recent psychological shake-up that I seem to be undergoing. Then, coloring through the mandalas, which are particularly set into a certain order of stages of growth have at times really touched me. I really recommend this book and this process for learning about the self.

Very interesting and fun

I had no idea what mandalas were before reading this book. I had been looking for a new form of meditation and this book looked interesting so I thought I would give it a try. I am so happy that I did! It it very interesting, giving reasons for and history of (among other things) the mandalas. Not only are you able to read about mandalas, but Ms. Fincher has included 45 mandalas for the reader to color. It is so much fun and a great form of creativity and meditation. I have already recommended this book to all my friends!
