Colony of Courage is the story of two groups of Humans abducted from Earth in the early second century A.D..One group of several hundred is abandoned on a planet to die of starvation and exposure. To the surprise of the species that abandoned them there and some of the Humans, Humans don't just roll over and die easily. The other group find themselves in Roman Asia in 119 A.D. one minute and among aliens in an interstellar community the next. They face culture and technological shock. They will have to adapt or curl up and die. In the process of fighting for their survival both groups of Humans show that even with their flaws Humans are beings of courage, honor, strength, boldness and creativity.
