This book gives a nitty-gritty account of cognitive behavior therapy in practice. The author intrdouces us to her patients, shares her thinking about their problems and outlines interventions based on her undertanding.
Well-organized, readable and practical, I find this to be an indispensable case formulation book. Even if your primary orientation is not CBT, I believe most therapists and therapists-in-training will find Persons' guide to case formulation helpful for thinking efficiently yet flexibly about their patients, especially when most people who seek help are so complex that it can be difficult to figure out where to begin!
