Great birthday gift

Great addition to the series for my son's twenty fifth birthday. He has four in the series. Thank you seller!

Underrated

I read this after the games, DMC 3, was released. I did not have a ps2 at the time, so I settled for the books. I love this series. I consider it greatly underrated. The art is mighty impressive. The atmosphere is on par with the game itself. Feeling extremely dark, gritty, and merciless. Just outright eerie and foreboding. Great read, just a massive disappointment it never got the chance to finish.

Devil May Cry 3- Wonderful Art

I am reviewing Devil May Cry 3, a manga by Suguro Chayamachi. First things first, the artwork is beautiful. From small detail in fight scenes to detail in conversations (facial), everything looks wonderful. Also, the fight scenes are dymamic and it's easy to follow the action, so you get a good picture of what's going on. Now, on to the story. Well written and involved. You want to know what's on the next page, what happens next, and you're not disappointed. Well written conversations, varied and believable personalities, placement of characters, and the direction and order of the storyline all come together to keep you an involved reader. All around, this is one of the best mangas I've ever seen.

devil may cry is the coolest devils I have ever seen ^w^

am sure am gonna love devil may cry espicaly vergil charechter after this comic , it has awesome art work with some Fine dialoge but i was hopped that they could painted it and to concentrate on the drawing of the two main charechter (Danti and Vergil) cuz they don't like twin brothers as we all know it , exept that its very cool am gonna make my first (Devil May Cry) comics collection starting from this volume .

Dante's story is awesome as always

I think the style of the artist completely fits the story. The lines are bold and dark with lots of shadows, reminding one of an atmosphere similar to the Crow or Final Fantasy VII: a dark, gritty landscape where violence can happen at any moment, especially amidst the shadows. Dante is well-rendered and absolutely hot (in my humble female opinion). The dialogue is just as gritty, low, sometimes vulgar, but exactly suitable to the type of world in which it is based. I had thought that it might be hard to render the intense action-oriented scenes that occur in the game stylistically as well as they do in the manga, but I was pleasantly surprised. There are great cut shots to certain aspects of our anti-heros (eyes, gritted teeth, the chunky metal lines of his guns, the wicked length of a katana) that just absolutely fit. All in all, the manga artist makes everything stylistically gorgeous and the story is equally well-paced. The relationship between Dante and his manager is interesting to see. Character interaction is of course just starting in this first volume and I can only wait with baited breath for the next volume to see just how much more sinister the undertones between brothers, between the opposing factions, get. This story translates so well to manga with just the right amount of gore, just the right amount of action, just the right amount of erotica, and just the right amount of backstory to leave the reader eager for more. I can't wait!
