I am blessed with several of David Bellamy's guides to painting landscapes. All of the other books that I have of his expound his love for watercolor painting to express his love for mountains, seas, and wild areas. In this book, He discusses the use of pastels, oils, and watercolor to capture the illusive beauty around us. He gives encouragement to build drawing and sketching skills and gives many helpful tips on how to improve your art. I really enjoy his work, and regret that I didn't learn of him sooner. I understand that he has videos that show how he paints. . .

As a true fan of David Bellamy I must say that once again he has given us a book to be treasured. His "Coastal Landscapes: A Practical Guide to Painting Coastal Scenery" is a book that every serious watercolour artist should have in their collection. I highly recommend it.
