good book, old edition

Interested readers should know that a 2nd edition (2007) is available from Rowman & Littlefield # ISBN-10: 0742546888 Class, Race, Gender, and Crime: The Social Realities of Justice in America (2nd ed) The new edition is updated, reorganized and substantially rewritten. It retains some of the key aspects that make this edition good - a focus on class and race and gender; systematic coverage of how these factors play out across the criminal justice system; engaging narratives to open each chapter. Note that there is a 2007 edition published by Oxford U Press, but that is a re-issue of this edition. Roxbury, the publisher of this edition, was bought out by Oxford, which has reissed the 2001 edition with a newer date.
