Underappreciated?

It seems a true injustice that this author is not as well known or celebrated as his work deserves. I'm shocked to only find two other reviews as I write this. When I first came across this book and author it was quite by accident, and turned out to be one of the best I've ever made. I was captivated by how well written this book was and how even secondary characters are given such life as to feel like people I'd known for years. Lieberman gave such definition to the world of this story I found myself pulled in almost immediately and felt like I was a grouchy old New York coroner myself, or at least a close coworker. The realism he crafts is uncanny. I literally did not want to put this book down and truly felt sad when I finished it. This is by far the best book I've ever read, period. Anyone who is a fan of crime dramas and/or suspense would likely be doing themselves a disservice not to give this book a chance. It doesn't disappoint.

Lost in the literary woodwork

As I write this review, I, like the other lone reviewer, have no idea why Lieberman disappears into the woodwork instead of being recognized as the fine writer of suspense that he is. Personally, I think I like his Crawlspace the best, but this is a fine one and others also demonstrate great imagination and writing skill. I would recommend you introduce yourself to this author.

Forgotten ?

Among some of the best crime novels I read; very dark, hopeless and the insight into the NY coroner life is well defined. Secondary characters are also very good. Why is this author not more reviewed ? Strange....
