Bright Baby Kitten

This is my 2 1/2 year old's second copy - she wore the cover off the first one! This is her favorite book for the car and she knows the names of all of the kittens in the whole book. Highly recommend.

Some of the other reviewers did not say how old their babies are, but I think that's an important factor. Mine is 10 months old and is a sitter/crawler. His grandma gave him a whole set of these tiny chunky books for Christmas, and he absolutely loves them. They are just the right size for his tiny hands. He still needs help manipulating larger books, but these he can pick up, open, and turn the pages by himself, which is very exciting for him. Also he likes the REAL photos on every page. It is helpful for him to see real pictures of things that are in his everyday environment, because he is too young to comprehend a lot of the books that have complicated drawings on them. It took him a few weeks to get used to these little books, but now they are the first "toy" that he goes for every single morning.

Our 2 year old loves this little book so much that she even has to sleep with it! It only has the names of each kitten, but she has them all memorized, in order, and then goes back through and picks out which kitten is her favorite, mommy's favorite and daddy's favorite. It is really sweet. It is the perfect size for her little hands. I am in the process of buying our second copy. Our first book went through the washing machine by accident. This is how much we love this little book, we just have to have it again!

Good pictures of kittens with unbelievably cute names. Not something you're necessarily going to read to your kids, but a good book for a young child to flip through on his or her own. My one year olds like it.

If you like the cover you will like this book. It isn't so much about kittens as it is pictures of specific kittens with their names. All the kittens in the book are as cute as the one on the cover. Great stocking stuffer for very young kids. I love kittens. That's about all I can say :-)
