Discusses acquiring, training, and riding a horse, and preparing for showing the horse in a show. This description may be from another edition of this product.
This book was useful to me because I had knowledge of European equestrianism, but I knew little of the history of the North American equestrian variety. The formation of the sport turned out to be especially important in the 70s and 90s. Which is very well described. The basics of a future horse owner or athlete are described. About the rules of buying a horse, registering with associations, etc. Yes, maybe a lot has changed...

I found this book a great help in improving my riding skills . And ride my spooky horse and know what to do when she did spook . I know this would be a great book for any level of riding . I think Judy writes her words so that its hard to put the book down.
