The synopsis made this sound like a romantic comedy. Instead it is a list of things that go wrong in a very contrived situation. Six chapters in there wasn't anything funny yet and it started promoting the Mormon religion heavily.

Light hearted story about a young woman, Amanda Richards, who is editor in chief of a popular local magazine "Today's Home". The fun begins when Amanda decides to pose as her grandmother "Laura Reynolds" who happens to be the local resident expert on creating the perfect "American Christmas Holiday" at her rural "Spindrift Farm". Grandma Laura or "Nonnie" as she is fondly referred to throughout the book, writes a popular monthly column on country living, for Amanda's magazine, and agrees to play hostess to a recently rescued international banker, Simon Kent, and provide him with an old-fashioned Laura Reynolds Christmas experience. However, as fate would have it, Nonnie is unable to deliver on her promise, and requests that her granddaughter Amanda stand in for her! Can't tell you the rest, otherwise I would spoil all the fun! If you are looking for a fun, lighthearted, cute, Christmas caper....with a little romance....don't hesitate...read and enjoy.....it's a quick read, and will put a smile on your face! This novel would possibly make a cute Lifetime or Hallmark Christmas movie!!!
