Chosen Days: Celebrating Jewish Festivals in Poetry and Art

One of the best features of this book is Rosenberg's introductions to the Holidays in which he discourses upon their meaning. There are also many valuable excerpts here as illustrations, primarily from the traditional religious texts. However the title of the book suggests that this will be a full anthology with a much richer and more varied group of texts than actually appear here. In other words while there is a great deal of true inspirational religious work here there is to my mind not a large and varied enough selection.
