My Secret Resource

As publisher of several newsletters and digests, I like to humanize them with tidbits about happy times.Chase's Calendar of Events has been my source for my 'Reasons To Celebrate,' ... It's also been a great resource for planning press releases and promotions to tie in with upcoming holidays.Oh yes, and it made it possible for me to create my very own holiday - Thanks for all the Gifts Week. ... I couldn't run my business without it. Well worth the small price for this encyclopedic resource.

The Penultimate Calendar!

If you're looking for a combination calendar, a great trivia book, and a supurb look at all the time it took us to set up time measuring systems, this is the book for you! Granted, there are a few minor gaps, but in the back there is a form to send in information about your local event for the 2002 calendar. No library should be without one!

Great for Business People and Parents

I have bought this book for the first time, and it is not just a conversation piece. I use it to keep track of secondary holidays and events and promote products at appropriate times. If you are in retail or consumer products, it can be fun and creative to notify customers of Arbor Day, Flag Day, religious holidays, famous people birthdays,...and promote your products or create displays for them.GREAT for teachers, parents, store-owners, and anyone who cares.....I'm writing this review on June 22. I hope all in Boise enjoy the River Festival. And if you're in Luling, TX, I hope you win the annual watermelon seed-spitting contest. Oh! And I almost forgot: Happy Birthday Lindsay Wagner! And to all you contestants in the Miss Virginia pageant: Love your hair! Hope it wins!

Chases Almanac, Calendar of events

I love this book. It is incredible the things people think of.

Really amazing compendium of monthly/daily events worldwide.

Look up any day or week or month of the year, and find out who's celebrating what, where, and when, in this compleat compendium of events worldwide. Price for libraries it should be available for all in a less expensive edition! There are some areas needing work, for example the last weekend in June lists Chicago's Gay Pride march (the hometown of the publisher and compilers of the book) but doesn't mention New York and San Francisco which celebrate Gay & Lesbian Pride Days at the same time
