STELLAR

Liv is the ex-girlfriend of Matt, although they remain friends, and she still sees the whole Chase clan due to her friendships with Maggie and Cassie, the wives of 2 of the Chase brothers. Marc, the youngest Chase, is attracted to Liv, but she wants a man who is ready to commit, and she doesn't believe Marc is after more than a one night(or week) stand. Marc, in the tradition of the older Chase brothers, decides to instigate "The Woo", because he realizes Liv is The One. Liv is a terrific heroine. She is smart, sassy and sure of what she wants. Her inner commentary made me laugh out loud. She is loyal to her friends. But she doesn't believe she is worth being truly loved, or that she will ever find love like her 2 best friends have. Liv just broke my heart. She feels like everyone she loves leaves her, which makes it hard for her to believe Marc has real feelings for her. Even if he does, she doesn't want to lose him or his family when the inevitable happens - he leaves her. Liv had such a hard time making that leap, and trusting in herself and Marc. When a misunderstanding occurs, she and Marc finally confront her deepest fears. Her straighforwardness and honesty in that scene...wow. Marc is also terrific. He woos with a vengenance, noticing her favorite tea, sending her flowers, bringing her a muffin on the way to work, leaving poetry on her desk. He refuses to let her run away from what he believes they can build together. He enlists the help of his family, and gets some sage advice from Edward, his dad, in the wooage process. Marc is hard to resist, but throw in all of the Chase's and their wives, and Liv never really stood a chance. Marc knows he has to give Liv time to figure that out for herself, and time to trust in him and his feelings. He is patient, strong, understanding and so in love with Liv, but never does he come off as wimpy. In fact, he grows into the dominant side of his personality because he feels free to be himself when he is with Liv. Liv and Marc really bring out the best of each other. They are terrific characters on their own but together they are stellar. Lauren Dane creates these amazingly real people, effortlessly weaving her story. I loved this book, and the chemistry between these two is off the hot chart.

Joyfully Reviewed!

Marc Chase is the youngest of the Chase brothers. Captivating, handsome and just downright flirty, he has won the hearts of many women in his hometown. While not lacking for female attention, it is the heart of one woman in particular that Marc wants for his very own, Liv Davis'. The woman who used to date his brother. The woman who makes him sweat. The woman who suddenly with one innocent kiss makes him begin to crave forever. Olivia "Liv" Davis has pretty much given up on finding a man to spend her life with. Tired of boring dates and men not committing to her, Liv is resigned to her fate. Until the youngest Chase brother turns his wiles on her and Liv's emotionally battered heart begins to warm. Knowing that Marc is a `love em and leave em' kind of guy, she decides to not fall in love with him. Easier said than done, because before Marc is through with her, she loves him more than she ever thought possible, which scares the total daylights out of her. Everyone she has ever loved has left her and if Marc decides that forever is not what he wants, Liv doesn't think she will be able to handle the devastation of letting him go. Marc has a fight on his hands to convince Liv she is the woman for him. Armed with the famous Chase technique of wooing women, Liv doesn't stand a chance against his charm. Or does she? Chased is extraordinary. Completely different from the previous two installments of Ms. Dane's, Chase Brothers series, I found myself enthralled with Marc. A total ladies' man to the core, I was at first as unsure of him as Olivia. Charming to the core, his wooing of Liv was exquisite. I have to hand it to Liv for her stubbornness and tenacity in keeping him at arm's length because I would have caved with the first present. Chased is the third installment of Lauren Dane's Chase Brothers series. Now that I have fallen in love with three out of the four Chase brothers, I can't wait to fall in love with brother number four whose story, Making Chase, is releasing from Samhain in June. a fast read

Good pace, real dialog. I liked the interactions of the brothers, and their girls. A fast read - polished off in one afternoon.

third book in Lauren Dane's CHASE BROTHERS series

Finding the perfect man to settle down with doesn't appear to be in the cards for Liv Davis. More than anything she wants to fall in love, get married and have kids. The only problem is every man who has the potential to be Mr. Right turns out to be so very wrong. She'd once believed that Matt Chase was the one for her but even though the relationship had been good and it was filled with sexual chemistry he'd never truly loved her. The last thing she expects is for Matt's little brother Marc's flirtatious behavior to become more serious. Marc Chase adores women and makes no apologies for playing the field with as many of them as possible. His brothers, Kyle and Shane, may have succumbed to the love bug and be living `happily ever after' but he's not about to fall into that same trap - or so he thinks. He's always admired Liv but now he's determined to convince her that his advances are very real. It's been well over a year since Liv and Matt's break up and Marc has hinted at becoming more than friends with Liv. She never takes him seriously though. He's about to embark on a new venture professionally with the opening of his own gym and while he's never thought that he needed or wanted just one woman in his life but he's finding that he wants to share everything with Liv. Liv isn't about to get involved with Marc. She admits to herself that she's attracted to him but she's looking for a man who's ready to settle down and raise a family. She's six years older than he is and doesn't want to compete with all the flirty younger women who are constantly vying for his attention. Marc's come by his confirmed bachelor reputation honestly, but now that he's interested in getting serious with one woman his reputation is causing nothing but problems. Is Marc up to the monumental task of convincing Liv that he means to love her forever? The third book in Lauren Dane's CHASE BROTHERS series, CHASED, is a feisty read which I thoroughly enjoyed from beginning to end. Liv comes across as an independent woman who knows what she wants but she's actually very insecure in her relationships with men. She's been burned before and is afraid of being hurt again. Marc has charmed his way through his share of women but on the one that matters most charm isn't going to work. I love how the whole Chase family bans together to help bring Marc and Liv together. There's something that's just so charming and heartwarming about this family that makes a reader long to be a part of the Chase clan. We'll be treated to Matt's story next when MAKING CHASE is released (it is currently available in ebook format). If you've been reading through all the books in this series, I'm sure you're just as anxious as I am to finally read about the woman who can capture the last Chase brother's heart.
