Charts of Bible Prophecy Review

I am still in the process of reading the book and studing the charts. Some go along with what we have just studied or will be covering in near future in my class. I had seen and examined part of the book prior to ordering it. What I have read to this time is very good. Just takes a little time study and understand the charts.

Lifting The Fog Over The Vast Prophetic Clutter...

CHARTS OF BIBLE PROPHECY categorizes, compares, lists, and illustrates, making Bible prophecy more comprehensible and coherent for the beginner, or sharper for the experienced. Some of the book's larger parts are "Part 11: Daniel and Revelation" with 18 charts, "Part 5: Systems of Eschatology with 13, and "Part 7: The Nation of Israel" with 11. SIMPLE CHART EXAMPLE: # 76-"Old Testament Tributlation Terms and Expressions," where the chart consists only of 2 columns, the right listing the verse references and the left the corresponding tribulation terms--"birth pangs," "Day of the Lord," "day of vengeance," "day of Jacob's trouble" etc. COMPLEX CHART EXAMPLE: # 52- "Views on the Rapture," which is divided into 5 subcharts that each represent a view (pre-trib, partial, pre-wrath, midtrib, and post-trib), with each followed by "Statement of View," "Proponents," then 2 columns of arguments for and against. (How clarifying is this format!) My personal chart favorites are #10-"Contrasts between the Abrahamic and Mosaic Covenants" and #24- "Unfulfilled Prophecy." Some charts incorporate extrabiblical sources, such as #79-"Identity of the Antichrist through the Centuries." Also, though both authors are pre-trib dispensationalists, the book's inclusive in representing different systems of interpretation in the charts.

If you want charts this is a nice collection

With 119 charts this is an excellent resource for studying or teaching Bible prophecy. There isn't much in terms of explanation but it is still a great resource with some surprises. Some of the charts include a Contrast Between the Abrahamic and Mosaic Covenant, Stages of the Kingdom of God, Biblical Types, Basic Approaches to Eschatology, Harmony of Daniel, Views on the Relationship of Joel, Alternate Determinations of the Seventy Weeks of Daniel, Comparison of Covenant Theology and Dispensationalism, Contrasts between the Rapture Views, Prophetic Significance of Old Testament Offerings, Views on the Millennium, Evaluating Views on Daniel, and even a few charts on the similarities and differences between Muslim, Jewish, and Christian eschatology. With even handed treatment that presents different views in an organized and logical form Charts of Bible Prophecy is a great resource for putting the information into an easy to understand format and teaching eschatology.
