This pop up book about Charlie Chick is a favorite of my niece. She wants to read every time she visits me. I bought another copy for my newest grandson.

My daughter received this book as a gift for her first birthday and she LOVES it. The large pop-ups on every other page and brief text keep her interested. This is fairly sturdy for a pop-up book -- so much so that we let her play with this one on her own. The audio piece on the front cover is incredibly difficult to get to play unless or until you find exactly the right place to click it. In fact, we thought ours didn't work for the first 3 months we had it, but when I purchased a copy of the book for a friend's son, I finally figured out the right spot to push. My daughter loves this book without the sound anyway.

I just found this book at the book store and absolutely love it. I do storytimes for toddlers and preschoolers and this will be so much fun to read!!

Charlie Chick eats lots of barley and corn, which causes him to have a big belly and feet. Starting with the sound chip on the cover, through oversized pop-ups and a surprise ending, this book is fun--huge oversized fun. This delightful 14-page book is sure to be a favorite with the little ones. Armchair Interviews agrees.
