Book was shipped in excellent condition. No rips or tears. Looks as if I never used it 20 years ago!

When I was young, my parents would visit their friends who had children a few years younger than I. They had this dictionary at their house and I would read through it for hours. Each word is used in a sentence and then another sentence follows that means the same thing. In general this is repeated three times for each word. This is still the best dictionary for young people ever compiled, it teaches you the meaning of the word by applying multiple contexts, one of which nearly every child should be able to understand.

I learned how to read, on my own no less, at age 3 with these books. The type is large and the books are easy to handle for young ones. The terrific Schulz illustrations make words come to life. I couldn't recommend these more.
