The true story of a remarkable woman s south of the border adventure and miraculous faith in god. Winner of the coveted Angel Award for Excellence in Media. This description may be from another edition of this product.
My 16 year old son and I read this book prior to spending a week at the orphanage described therein. It challanged my Christian faith as Charla told the story of how God led her and her husband, a middle class family from North Hollywood, to become involved with orphans 200 miles south of the Mexican border. It is a modern day tale of George Mueller and I highly recommend this book, especially those who are planning to volunteer at the orphanage. But be warned, this book and a trip to the orphanage, and you will never be the same.
