The Indomitable, Immutable, Instructible...

Dr. Leary, in "Changing my Mind...", provides us a glimpse into the past, present, and future which, in case you weren't turned on, are all happening - right now. We, as humans, are at the beginnings of the beginning of the realization that our every move, our every thought, our every action and reaction is based on every move, thought, action and reaction of everyone and all that surrounds us. We are particles held together by bonds. These bonds forge relationships between us and our environment, and these relationships are what define who we are (because when we communicate to others, whether it's about some thing or one other than ourselves, we tell the listeners and the lookers about ourselves.) Our minds and bodies experience pain or satisfaction at every junction, and we consciously or subconsciously harness the energy for our bodies and create the tention and conflict needed to grow into a citizen of life or only a consumer of society. The "ones" in power are tracking our every move in an attempt to better disseminate the cliques this particular mode of society creates. Humanity is bound for space and the vast reaches at its edges. Haha, we better first yearn to learn how to take care of ourselves here on Earth. ***these are only a few points Dr. Leary hits on in this magnificent collection of essays, notes, and stories*** Humanity is not doomed. Humanity is held back only by itself. Our minds are not the conduits to a better world or a better universe. We are the better universe already. We have only to realize it, visualize it, and prioritize it. To paraphrase Dr. Leary: We are particles held together by bonds, Will we make those bonds hands or cuffs?
