Powerful book

Being in my mid thirties, I've gone through the process of changing both jobs and careers a number of times. Of all the books I've found to help me threw this process none has been more helpful then "Change Your Job, Change Your Life." This book provides three benifits: 1. An overall job market overview - this helps the reader to understand what's happening from a macro perspective. This is helpful because it allows the reader to see that he is not alone or even close. It provides a strong base education on what's happening in the job market and why (including history of job markets).2. A writing style that is empowering. This book can help one feel EXCITED about the job hunt, not overwealmed by it. It offers practical inspiration through education.3. Specific detailed day to day tools to keep the reader on track. Tools are provided that keep focus and clarity so one can do what matters each day to get where they want to go with their career. I've read many other books such as "What Color is Your Parachute, but always come back to this book in the end. The only negative is the title, it doesn't reflect the depth or importance of the information.

New surveys of the 100 best companies to work for in America

The eighth edition of this title on recareering is also its 20th anniversary edition and holds more importance than ever to audiences careering and recareering in the new economy. From new surveys of the 100 best companies to work for in America to keys to job search success and answering interview questions, Change Your Job, Change Your Life covers all the basics.

Change Your Job, Change Your Life

This is an excellent book for anyone weighing the pros and cons of making a job change. Working in a Career Center, I used this book with a number of clients who are uncertain about their current options and how to pursue new things. Krannich does an incredible job of opening possibilties and options for people. This book is very beneficial and I highly recommend it to anyone making a career change.
