This book not only manages to present young readers with kind and accurate queer and poc representation but it also presents the reader with a great queer love story, magic, fantasy, action and mystery with a very surprising but satisfying ending. I would recommend this book to anyone who loved the Heroes of Olympus and Percy Jackson series.
Funny, cute, and meaningful!

The book is fun! It has an interesting story with great twist and turns. Also the Queer rep! I rarely see a naturally portraits trans person, and trans man by that token. I love this book. Go read it now!
Absolutely amazing representation of the Latin community as well as the LGBTQ+ community

This book came together in absolute perfection. The writing, the characters, the flow of the story, and the representation! Everything was just perfect. You can definitely tell this was an #ownvoices writer. The Spanish representation here was amazing! The culture as well as the family dynamics hit a home run to the way Spanish people live their every day lives. It felt like I was back home with my dad and living with my grandpa and grandma in Mexico. The traditions were sacred in our family and I love how Aiden Thomas incorporated that into his story. Book was an absolute page turner and plot flowed well and fast. There wasn't anything that kept me stuck or bored. And bravo Mr. Thomas on adding Spanish words throughout the novel! Made me feel right at home ❤ Yardriel was such a real raw character and I loved his story arc. Julian Diaz is one of the best book boyfriends I've seen in a while. And the speech given to Yardriel by his dad had me in tears!!! Finally the acceptance was giving for who he was, not what they wanted him to be!! Amazing book!!
