Celtic Cross-Stitch

I LOVE the designs in this book! I have several other Celtic design books, and have not found the wide range as seen in this book. No - they are not traditional Celtic designs, but a great adaptation of them. I love the colors, the brief captions about Celtic lore. All in all, I LOVE this book! Great deisgns, and great use of color. Much better than the offerings from Dover Needlepoint.

I love this book! Well done patterns (with the exception of a small printing problem with the alphabet letter I). I'm doing them all and love them and the information Mr. Vickery gives throughout the book. Very well illustrated, easy to follow instructions.

This isn't the greatest book on Celtic stitchery out there. It doesn't claim to be. It's a book of the authors interpretations of the celtic style. While most may not be historically accurate in the least, there are some nice charts in the book that are beautiful and inspired. The charts themselves range from easy to mid-level in difficulty. While I was very disappointed with the knotwork, I love working with the bright colors and the interesting designs. I have stitched two designs from the book and have been very happy with them.

I like this book. I have worked two of the letters in the celtic alphabet and they turned out nicely. The designs are fun and whimsical and not too complex. There are some small errors in the charts however so look them over carefully before you begin.
