Catspells: A Collection of Enchantments for You and Your Feline Companion

This will be the second copy of this book that I have purchased!!I have never attempted any of the spells, but the book itself is just so...cozy.The artwork is beautiful.I don't know how to put it but if the title is interesting to you in the first place you will love it just for what it is.Whimsical and enchanting as well as full of some intereting information.

If you're interested in working spells with cats, this is the book for you. The most the spells require is a whisker from your cat (You won't be hurting him/her.) The book covers brief history on cats from ancient to now. Fun to read and allows you to spend more time with your cat!

This book is not only fun but contains a ton of great information. It has a list of names that you can name your cats or even kids! It gives alot of information in spells dealing with healing, love, goodluck, weather ect. Example of some of the material is : To Tell a Rain spirit is near: When your cat rolls upon her back, and claws playfully at the grass, twitching her tail and turning up her eyes in skittish humour,you may discern from her behavior that a rain spirit is dancing thereabouts,and will soon appear in corporeal form as swiftly-falling, drenching shower. This book is adorable and worth the 4.00!

Although difficult to find, this beautifully illustrated little tome is an essential in the library of anyone who is enchanted with our feline friends. Written by a hereditary witch, the more than 50 spells were inspired by the journals of the author's great-grandmother, a Victorian "wisewoman". It is written in an engaging style, with each of it's 89 pages framed in alternating black and white or full-colour moon, star and sun borders. This book is divided into categories, such as: "Naming your Cat", "Healing Spells", "Spells for Love and Enchantments", "Spells for Good Luck", "Weather Spells" as well as two delightful "Fairy Spells", and an index to the individual spells. An example of a magickal name for a female cat is given as: "Aurelia "'Golden': for a queen who is "haughty, flighty in her affections, "beautiful in appearance, adores "home-comforts and luxury; she is "disdainful of other cats." I was delighted to receive this book as a birthday gift, and I highly recommend it!
