Cracklin dry minnesota winter humor

I've owned this book since it was published and it's always made the cut when I moved. It is very very funny but it helps to have dry midwestern humor and to have lived through the "hippie" era. However if you know cold, you'll relate. I tried to share this with some native califorians when I lived in LA...they didn't get it. No loud and prolonged laughter or even the deep chuckles I'm used to.
