Now, I know that this has been said and I feel that I am responsible for the jinx bestowed upon Claire (as I am sure the feeling is mutual w/ others), but if life couldn't get any worse for her, I believe that it just hit rock bottom at the start of Carpe Corpus. I really love the Morganville Vampire series and this latest book did not disappoint. The book did start off a little slow for me, but once the action started I did not want to put it down. The ending was very surprising and left me yearning for the next installment.

Rachel Caine is a great author. I loved this book. I am not going to give a play by play of the book because I wouldn't want to ruin the book for anyone. I will tell you whether it was - bad, good, great, or fantastic. This one is fantastic. The usual happens - downtime, trouble, downtime, trouble ... you get the picture if you read the series.
