This is a compilation of 18 stories about Christian people in repressive countries. One of my absolute favorites is the first. It is by a very intelligent young man in China. He was one of 5% of the entire population of China that scored well enough to be allowed to go to the University in Beijing in 1987. In 1989 the Chinese leadership shot and killed many of his classmates in Tiananmen Square in Beijing. The author was sickened and disillusioned when he realized that Marxism had been his religion and he could not longer believe in it. He began to study all the old Chinese religions. He studied Taoism, Buddhism, Confucianism etc but finally came to Christianity. He found that only Christianity spoke of the evil in man and the hope through Christ. He became a Christian though he knew that could lead to his arrest. Some of the other stories are so stark - the difficulty to find a church, Bible or other believers in countries that are 99% Muslim. It definitely makes you realize how blessed we are in this country and how much we need to pray for and support our brothers in other countries!Good book
