I just completed the California Real Estate Economics Course through Mendocino College with the author Ignacio "Nash" Gonzalez. I never thought economics and fun could be used in the same sentence but Nash makes the course material relevant and "real world". Nash teaches varies real estate classes to real estate professionals, law enforcement, students and investors through out the state of California. He is a city planner, broker, investor and consults with both local and state governments and is highly respected throughout California. He is a very good teacher who enjoys his work and it shows ! I bought the 3rd edition (2006) ISBN 978-4195-3958-9. Get the 3rd Updated version ( 2007) ISBN 978-1-4277-6731-8. The older 3rd edition has 15 chapters while the 3rd updated version has 17 chapters. Yes, there are typos and a few wrong answers to the practice exam but the author is aware of them and is going to bring it to the attention of the new editor at Dearborn publishing. I recommend both the book and any classes by Mr. Gonzalez.
California Real Estate Economics

A well written book on California real estate economics. The book covers all aspects in a general manner without meaningless detail. There are more typos than other real estate books and numerical errors in the tables. Overall, the book is worth reading.
