I love this book

This was such a great book. I love California Diaries, why does it take Ann M. Martin so long to write them? Normally, the diaries focused on certain problems each character had. Maggie, another girl, had an eating disorder and had a lot of family problems. Amalia struggled with an abusive relationship, Sunny struggled with her mother's cancer, and then later tried to cope with the death of her mother. This book took a shocking twist when Amalia was attacked (verbally abused, then spat on) by a group of girls because of the fact that she is hispanic. Amalia has a really hard time dealing with this, but eventually pulls through. The book also focused on her friendship with Maggie, and her new relationship with boyfriend Brendan. I love these books and thought this one was great. Maggie is my favorite character (though Amalia is awesome, too), and I loved how good friends she and Amalia are. Read it, I bet you will love it!

Ann does it again!

I love all the books in the California Diaries series but this one was definitly one of the stronger books. It deals with real issues and problems. I think this is a great book for teens.

I love it

Amalia had the of her worst night of her life in this book , Maggie is having troubles at home so is staying at Amalia's house . This is really good it is sad at some parts . I told all my friends to read it and they loved it too.

A Letter,

Dear Diary Readers, I just read the most increadible book! Amalia Diary 3 is officially my favorite California Diary book. I have noticed that in these books the charactures usually stick to the same many problems. Like Dawn with Carol, Sunny with her parents, Maggie with Anorexia and movie stars, Ducky with his friends, and Amalia with relationship problems. Amalia Diary 3 is not all about her relationship problems anymore. The writing on the pages takes a sudden twist and her ideals shatter to the ground. Something that will hurt and help her in different ways happens. So, puh-lease read this book. I loved it! Love,A Diary Reader

i love this book

this book was really, really good. my only problem is that i wish that this book was longer. their so easy to read. and when you get to the end your like 'Oh . . .that's it?' and amalia is my favorite character. and i thought that those racist girls shared one brain between them or something, cause how can you judge someone by the color of thier skin? it's just the type of thing a moron would do. a complete idiot. But i'm glad that amalia was able to see what they really were and go beyond what they expected of her. i'll leave you with this word of advice:READ THIS BOOK!
