The California Angels

For such a recent addition to the major leagues, there is surprisingly little information available about the Angels. Newhan carefully and accurately chronicles the early years of the Angels, including material difficult to find from other sources. Unfortunately, the reader often wishes that he would flesh out more details, providing more backdrop and personality to the historical material. For information-starved Angel fans (and there are probably precious few of us), this is a small, welcomed sip of water in an otherwise dry desert of no information.
